Refund, Cancellation, Transfer & Exchange Policy

1. For Courses

a. Full refund, minus a  20% processing fee, available upon written request 30 days or more before the course start date. 

b. No refunds are provided if the cancellation is within 14 days of the course date. 

c. No refunds are issued if a participant begins the course and is not able to complete it for any reason. 

d. No cancellations are accepted less than 30 days before the course start date. 

e. Completion of online materials, but failure to attend in-person workshops, courses, seminars, and/or lectures will result in termination of access to the materials, resources and activities immediately.

f. You may transfer your registration, once, to a different course date at no additional fee as long as the other course is within a 12-month time frame from the date of the original course for which you registered. 

You cannot transfer your registration to another individual or group, unless prior authorization has been granted by SmartCARE Education.

Transfers are limited to 1 transfer per registration, and must be confirmed by SmartCARE Education. 

Failure to comply with prior authorization will result in termination of access to the resources and activities immediately.

2. For Certifications

a. Full refund, minus a 20%  processing fee, available upon written request 30 days or more before the release of the course material. 

b. No refunds are provided if the cancellation is within 30 days of the program start date

c. No refunds are issued if a participant begins the program and is not able to complete it for any reason.

d. No cancellations accepted less than 30 days before the certification program start date. 

e. Completion of online materials but failure to attend in-person workshops, courses, seminars, and/or lectures will result in termination of access to the resources and activities immediately.

f. You may transfer your registration to a different program date at no additional fee as long as the other course is within a 6-month time frame from the date of the original course for which you registered, and the request is no less than 30 days from the original course date. 

You cannot transfer your registration to another individual or group, unless prior authorization has been granted by SmartCARE Education.

You may split a pre-scheduled course after submitting a request for completion at a different scheduled date other than the original pre-scheduled date for certification courses spanning more than one weekend. A split fee will be applied. 

Transfers must be to a different cohort date all together, are limited to 1 transfer per registration, and must be confirmed by SmartCARE Education.

Failure to comply with prior authorization will result in termination of access to the resources and activities immediately.

3. For Memberships

a. Month-to-month memberships are non-refundable after purchase.

b. Paid in full memberships may receive a full refund, minus a 15% processing fee, within 21 days of purchase before starting a course. 

Paid in full memberships may receive a 50% refund within 30 days of purchase before starting a course. 

Paid in full membership are non-refundable after 60 days of purchase. 

Paid in full memberships cancelled after 60 days of purchase will continue to have access until the end of their billing cycle. 

Paid in full membership are non-refundable if a participant begins any course, lecture, seminar, or webinar.

c. All Memberships, including month-to-month and paid in full, must be cancelled through written request 21 days prior to next billing period emailed to: [email protected]

d. No transfers or exchanges for any membership.  

4. For Sales and Promotions

a. All promotional sales from affiliate codes,  yearly sales, discount codes, flash sale, and discounted sales are final, non-refundable, and are not applicable for price adjustments.

b. All purchases from affiliate links, promotional codes, gift cards, and/or gift purchases are final, non-refundable, and are not applicable for price adjusments. 

c. Please read the following to understand what purchases may be eligible for a price adjustment:

  • Eligibility is limited to individual courses and products.  
  • Price Adjustment Limits up to 20% apply.
  • Only purchases made within 30 days at the original price, may be eligible for a price adjustment.
  • SmartCARE Education does not price match with other sellers.
  • Memberships are not eligible for price adjustments.
  • SmartCARE Education reserves the right to deny price adjustments at our sole discretion.
  • SmartCARE Education reserves the right to limit price adjustments at our sole discretion.
  • SmartCARE Education may in the future restrict its price adjustment policy.
  • All purchases from discount codes, and discounted sales are not applicable for a price adjustment.

SmartCARE Education reserves the right to change the seminar/course/program venue within the same metropolitan area at any time, for any reason. 

SmartCARE Education reserves the right to cancel/postpone the course for circumstances beyond its control.  In the unlikely event that this should occur, your tuition fee will be refunded based on the completion of your course. SmartCARE Education will not be responsible for nonrefundable airline tickets, hotel reservations, or any other travel or personal expenses incurred by the registrant. 

SmartCARE Education will make every attempt to contact you as soon as possible in the event a seminar/course/program venue changes or the course/event must be cancelled.
